- A structured association is the objective. It is not yet registered, and is not described here as one.
Why it exists
- The gap
- The school already had a network and infrastructure club, an entrepreneurship club and a Junior-Enterprise. It had no common entry point for AI.
- Dispersion
- People doing AI work were spread across different specialisation tracks with nothing connecting them.
- Missing
- No venue for AI hackathons, and no bridge between the tracks and the Toulouse laboratories.
- Answer
- One community with technical poles, so that the work has somewhere to happen.

Four technical poles
Four poles, each with its own lead and autonomy over content, under one shared identity.
- AgenticAutonomous agents, large language models, orchestration and the tooling around them.
- ModIAStatistics, optimisation and applied machine learning, bridging to the applied-mathematics track and to students on industry placements.
- EmbeddedEmbedded and edge AI, and signal processing, bridging to the electronics and automation track.
- HackathonOrganising AI hackathons, and entering them.

Technical community building
- Structure before activityDefining the poles, their scope and their governance, so that activity has a place to attach to.
- Technical trainingTraining material the poles deliver, so that a workshop teaches a method rather than demonstrating a tool.
- WorkshopsAI and engineering workshops run by the poles, with the content owned by the pole leads.
- HackathonsOrganising events and forming teams for external ones.
- Research and industry linksConnections to the Toulouse laboratories and to industry, in progress. No partnership is claimed as acquired.
- Student initiativesSupporting member-led projects.
- Technical assetsOwn infrastructure: a deployed sandbox service giving members isolated coding-assistant sessions, and a member application in development.
