SOGECLAIR: the highlighted case
Legacy microcontroller migration from an Infineon XC167 to an STM32H753: the serial protocol stack carried across, Ethernet added.
- MigrationXC167 to STM32H753: a change of architecture, of peripheral model and of toolchain, with the existing behaviour to preserve.
- SerialUART and RS232 links, with DMA so the transfers do not sit in the processor.
- ProtocolProtocol state machines rebuilt on the new peripheral model, framing and error handling included.
- NetworkingEthernet through the RMII interface to the PHY, with the LwIP stack above it.
